Eagles Crossing Big Money Skins Championship October 20-23 in Hawk Point, MO.
At the first Eagles Crossing Big Money Skins Match in 2021, we invited four of the top professionals of the sport to compete for over $12,000 in total prize money and a lucrative appearance bonus. For this event we offered a Spectators Pass that costs $200 to follow the competitors as they battled on the Eagles Crossing Disc Golf Course. The critics said no one would be interested in paying the high price tag for such a specialized event, but we proved them wrong. Not only did we sell out of the original 60 tickets, over 80 spectators would pay and experience history in the making.
In 2022 for the second Big Money Skins Match, we again invited four players to contend for the big prize money, but we added a crowdsource pledge fundraiser where the participants could Pick the Winner. This time there were around 140 available tickets at $200, and once again we had to increase the amount of tickets available. At the event’s start, there were over 200 spectators in attendance including staff. The prize money payout reached $22,000, and the crowdsource fundraiser pulled in nearly $40,000 in revenue, of which 25% ($9,700) was donated to the event with the 550 pledge contributors receiving over $60,000 in commemorative discs and additional prizes.
The competition also provided memorable experiences for all, especially when Scott Stokely threw a masterful shot through the woods to win a cool $15,000, as the previous Skins were collecting up to that point. With that one throw, 46 of the 550 pledgers that picked Scott Stokely to win, received an additional $120 worth of merchandise on top of their pledge package, regardless of which level they purchased.
Both of these events were hosted by Luke Humphries while being brilliantly shot and produced by the boys at GK Pro, which resulted in some of their highest viewed content with 250k to 400k views.
They say you have to, “crawl before you can walk, and walk before you can run”. I would say these two events still had us crawling, and this next event would still be considered walking as we think there’s a much higher goal to achieve through hosting these Big Money Skins Matches at the world famous and soon to be number one course in the world, Eagles Crossing Disc Golf Course.

We are going even bigger this time, and continuing the momentum from the first two events and going full stride with the third and largest event at Eagles Crossing! We’ve upped the ante with a $50,000 first place prize, with cash and other prizes totaling $100,000. This time we’re inviting disc golf’s top athletes to take part in history once more. We hope to engage the community by giving anyone that wants to be a part of this an opportunity by receiving high quality commemorative discs from your favorite companies, and the chance to Pick the Winners for prizes.
Throughout the year, disc golf professionals have been qualifying for the last Big Money Event of the year by winning OTB Skins Matches, racking up PDGA Tour victories, and performing as top throwers in competitions around the world. This event will have up to 96 competitors converging at Hawk Point, Missouri, to earn the chance at cashing in one of disc golf’s largest payouts in history of the sport. The qualified players who have accepted our invitation will fill the first 72 spots, followed by 20+ remaining competitors rounding out the field. The event will start on Friday, October 21, with a Qualifying Round for seeding and will consist of a point scoring system to encourage high risk, high reward shots. Which will entice legendary routes to the basket like Scott Stokely executed this last spring.
On Saturday, October 22, there will be two rounds. The first round of the day will be the Round of Pool Play, and will have 48 total competitors. Each player will attempt to score the lowest round to continue climbing the points board, and win their respective pools to move along to the second round of the day; the Round of 16. Here the format switches to the Skins competition format, and the collective of 16 competitors standing, will go throw-for-throw to capture as many Skins as they can to lock in their spot in on Sunday, in the final round to take home the Championship and receive the $50,000 grand prize.

Pledgers will pick their favorite player to support financially, then four other players to make it to the Final Four. There will be multiple ways to win including Pick the Winner. One of the top prizes to win, is to pick the Final Four finishers in order, and successfully guess the amount of the winners share of the $30,000 Skins money on Sunday. The lucky winner will collect the grand prize of a nine hole disc golf course of your very own, with free design consultation from Gateway Disc Sports and disc golf Hall of Famer David McCormack PDGA #2873.
