Boxing Day is primarily observed in the UK, Australia, Hong Kong, and other Commonwealth nations – but no one really knows how the holiday originated or what it’s for. Since we are always boxing up discs we felt like adopting this holiday.
It has historically been known as an extra day of Xmas spirit. In the victorian age it was often celebrated by giving the servants a day off and an extra treat, tip or gift. The British navy celebrated the day by opening a sealed box of money that had been collected on voyages the entire year. The box was then donated to the ports closest church.
Today the day is spent watching football, gambling on horse races or in your case hopefully playing some disc golf.
